Here is a recipe I tried for one of our backpacking trips that was wildly popular: latte bars.
I say “wildly” because I expected these to be mostly for the adults, for breakfast, in lieu of coffee. But all the kids loved them so much that we had to ration them a bit to even have some left for the adults. I used decaf coffee crystals, but on our next trip my friend made these with full blown coffee grounds and they were just as wonderful.
Freeze these individually wrapped before your trip. They hold up well for at least 5 days, perhaps longer.
